ARMY STRONG VETERAN'S 5K RUN

The Army Strong Veteran's 5K Run is FREE to the public.
The U.S. Army is returning for the Army Strong Veteran’s 5k Run on November 7, 2009 at Ft. Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, Washington. In addition to a fitness theme, this event will also honor the area’s Veterans.
The Army Battalion’s goal is to continue to promote health, wellness and active lifestyles to assist the community in addressing obesity, childhood diabetes, high-blood pressure and other health related risks associated with poor fitness levels.
RACE TIME & LOCATION:
Race starts at 9:30 a.m., Fort Steilacoom Park, Lakewood, WA
Pre-race packet pick-up is from 8:30 through 9:15 a.m.
AWARDS:
A Free T-Shirt will be given to the first 250 registered participants.
1st through 3d place medals will be awarded to the top 3 men and women in each age group.
AGE CATEGORIES:
14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 & Over
All registrants are eligible for door prizes which include a pair of tickets to the December 20 Seattle Seahawks game against the Tampa Bay Bucaneers and an Ipod Nano.
